Legibility System (Art × Aerospace)

Built systems translating cultural, brand, and technical domains across art and aviation.

Emerging aerospace technologies—such as sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) and electric propulsion—lack cultural frameworks that make them legible to audiences outside technical or policy domains. Developed within a private aviation brand in partnership with Frieze Art Fair and Aero Jets, my work introduced aerospace mobility systems into a cultural context accessible to collectors, patrons, and high-end tastemakers.

System Designed

A cultural translation system positioning aerospace innovation within the luxury art ecosystem through a partnership between Frieze Art Fair and Aero Jets.

This included artist-led studio activations, material reuse as both narrative and proof point, and a coordinated print, digital, and social layer designed for circulation within collector networks.

Point of View

My goal was not to market biofuel or aerospace mobility, but to reframe it as part of the luxury cultural economy so it became legible to collectors, patrons, and high-end tastemakers.

A brand idea becomes lush and thriving when it is legible—when it can be quickly understood, categorized, and placed within an existing mental framework—allowing it to move and grow beyond its origin point.

What is the transfer value? This model applies to emerging systems that require cultural adoption before technical understanding. It demonstrates how complex infrastructure—across aerospace, autonomous mobility, and material innovation—can be introduced through identity and cultural frameworks, accelerating trust, relevance, and early-stage adoption.
